Kentucky: The Bluegrass State |
|
Bordering on both southern and mid-western states, Kentucky is one of four states officially known as a commonwealth. Its natural beauty stretches across the state from the rugged Appalachian Mountains in the east to the Bluegrass Country in the west. Kentucky is best known for its horse racing, Kentucky bourbon, college basketball, bluegrass music and tobacco.
You'll find Kentucky’s Unbridled Spirit and genuine hospitality throughout the state. The state’s landmark sites range from Mammoth Cave to Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home. Enjoy the wonders of the largest underground cave system in the world at Mammoth Cave or grand views at Cumberland National Historic Park. The state’s outstanding natural settings are discovered in 53 parks, including 17 resort parks that offer fishing, golfing, camping and boating. |
