Moose Meadows

Moose Meadows
Bovill, Idaho

Tall ponderosa pines add more lush greenery to an already rich, delightful Moose Meadows scene. This photogenic valley, parted by Moose Creek, is found a few miles northwest of Bovill, Idaho, population 305. This timber region is in the midst of St. Joe National Forest, a section of Idaho's panhandle that's covered in trees, ranging from Douglas fir to white-bark pine. The majority of broadleaf trees are black cottonwood, aspen and western paper birch. Scenic back roads of Idaho may present another enticing lure, the possibility of sighting a large mammal. Idaho's forests provide habitat for the endangered woodland caribou, grizzly bear andCanadian lynx, creating exciting encounters for visitors in this remote region of the country.
