| Nevada: The Silver State |
|
Nevada, the Silver State, entered into the Union during the Civil War, the basis for the state's motto, Battle Born. Those exploring the Siver State may be surprised to find mountains in every directions, and more surprised to find it's the most mountainous of the lower 48.
The state is best experienced over its 10 scenic byways that take in the largest state park (Valley of Fire), and one of America's deepest lakes (Lake Tahoe). Other points of interest include the dazzle of Las Vegas, the Great Basin, famous ghost towns, Death Valley and the historic Pony Express Trail. |
