Golden Gate Bridge

California's morning sun applies another layer of gold to the already golden, Golden Gate Bridge. The Art Deco color, orange vermilion, sets this suspension bridge apart from all others and is easily recognized worldwide. This modern wonder of the world supports San Francisco's vehicular traffic and well as pedestrians and bicycles as it spans a 1.7 mile stretch. Joseph Strauss is credited with the Golden Gate Strait Bridge, assisted by Irving Morrow, Charles Alton Ellis and Leon Moisseiff. |
