     Deco queens, palm-lined streets and a bustling Ocean Drive only begin to describe South Beach. Experiencing a resurgence of popularity, sidewalk cafes, refurbished night spots, hotels and world class restaurants take advantage of the beautiful beach setting and its clear turquoise waters. Continuing its role as a glamorous international mecca, its multicultural core blends together today without much notice.
     On the go 24/7, Miami Beach is more than string bikinis, muscle men and club hoppers. This pleasant mix of Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival and Miami Modern hotels offer various levels of luxury. Entertaining an international crowd since the early 1900s, Ocean Drive remains a glitzy getaway anytime of the year.
     A ninety minute walking tour introduces visitors to the Miami Beach Historic District South Beach - Miami Beach Architectural District and the beachside boulevard called Ocean Drive. Lined with pastel colored hotels and brighten by the south Florida sunshine, the Historic District covers the blocks between 5th and 21st streets. Built in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, the Miami Beach Architectural District is spread over 5700 acres and includes over 950 buildings.
