Victoria Bryant State Park is located in northeast Georgia, nearby Interstate 85 and the town of Franklin Springs. The Georgia Parks Service has provided a broad range of amenities, including campsites, picnic areas and pavilions, hiking trails and fishing ponds. A fairly recent idea has also enticed golfers with an 18 hole course and driving range. Don't let the name fool you, the Highland Walk Golf Course does offer golf carts, as well as club rentals and pull carts.
The park was conceived by Paul E. Bryant in 1952, as he donated an initial 45 acres of land in memory of his mother. Pictured here is Rice Creek, a wonderful water feature that adds another touch of beauty to the park's 500 acres of rolling hills and natural forestlands. This piedmont area, a transition zone, is located between Georgia's highest mountains and South Carolina's eastern coastal region.
